Our Three-Layered Vision

Worship, Prayer and Intercession

The main focus and purpose of HOPES is to facilitate ministering to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in worship and prayer as He leads. Our goal is to make a place for the Godhead to be welcomed, dwell and rest. Out of this we anticipate petitional and intercessory prayer to flow organically. We seek to sing, declare and pray what is in His heart and mind.

Six days before the Passover began, Jesus went back to Bethany, the town where he raised Lazarus from the dead. They had prepared a supper for Jesus. Martha served, and Lazarus and Mary were among those at the table. Mary picked up an alabaster jar filled with nearly a litre of extremely rare and costly perfume—the purest extract of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet. Then she wiped them dry with her long hair. And the fragrance of the costly oil filled the house. John 12:1-2

On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old. Amos 9:11

I will bring them to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar, for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations. Isaiah 56:7

Biblical Teaching and Jesus-Centred Fellowship

We see HOPES as a place where the pure, full Word of God is taught for the feeding, equipping and activation of the Ecclesia, and where Jesus-centred fellowship is lived out in a community of authentic fellowship and love.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1

The Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom

Out of the overflow of worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship we expect to see a natural overflow of the Gospel of the Kingdom going out into the world. We long to see lives reached with the good news of Jesus, His forgiveness, and transformed by the power of His Spirit as people to become true disciples of the Kingdom who will in turn reach others. We believe this will serve towards the ushering in of the end time harvest long promised in the Bible and prophesied by many credible Christian voices over time.

…having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. Ephesians 2:20

Seek the kingdom of God above all else… Matthew 6:33
