HOPES Vision: A central meeting place for all in the Body of Christ in this South-East region and beyond for the purpose of worship, prayer and intercession.
We recognize that the Coach House is holy ground with the land it is situated on having been dedicated to the glory of God in 772AD by King Offa, and it having had numerous prayerful inhabitants since the 1970s, including Sister Eileen and Sister Eva of the Servants with Jesus who were pioneers in their generation for leading and encouraging prayer and worship.
We have an established rhythm of prayer and worship at HOPES, as well as the reading of the Word, and will also in time offer teaching, along with learning opportunities given by those experienced in the areas of worship, prayer and intercession to equip the body of Christ in these areas, and help expand the Kingdom in our area and nation.
This hub of prayer and worship is open to all local (and beyond) ministries and groups who have the Gospel of Jesus, the complete Word of God and His Kingdom at the centre of their hearts and ministries. Such groups include the local Bexhill ministers, the National Houses of Prayer Network and the South East Prayer Leaders, among many others.
Those working to support the House of Prayer are doing so in an unpaid, voluntary capacity. We encourage external groups and ministries to make a donation when visiting. Those visiting from afar have the opportunity to stay overnight for a donation of £40 per night on a ‘self-catering only’ basis. We are also running various additional worship and prayer events throughout the year.
As God promises to inhabit His people’s praises, we hope the House of Prayer East Sussex at the Coach House in Bexhill will increasingly be a place where the Holy Spirit will be glad to dwell as we look to the coming of King Jesus.
